Adjustable Rate Mortgages (ARM). These mortgages are very popular with first-time home buyers and others who want to keep their monthly payment low during the first years of the loan. First Star offers one-, three-, five- and seven-year ARM’s.

Fixed Rate Mortgages. These are designed for the individuals who desire a fixed rate each year and do not want the interest rate movements that are normally associated with ARMs. First Star offers fixed-rate mortgages with terms from 10 years through 30 years.

First Star Bank also offers other mortgage programs such as balloons — mortgages that allow you to keep your monthly payment lower than a traditional fixed rate, however in 3, 5, or 7 years we will evaluate your mortgage and refinance, if desired.
