Welcome to First Star Bank.

First Star was originally chartered in 1893 as the Bethlehem Building & Loan Association. Over the years, there were mergers with the Citizens Building Loan, West Bethlehem Building & Loan and the Bath Savings & Loan Association to form the Greater Bethlehem Savings and Loan Association. We eventually became a public company in 1987 and have since grown four-fold. To commemorate our 100th Anniversary in 1993, we changed our name to First Star Bank.
Today the bank is owned by nearly 300 stockholders primarily from the Lehigh Valley area and we have First Star Bank offices throughout the Lehigh Valley.

First Star Bank is a community bank. As a community institution, our people are just a little more friendly, and our service just a little more timely, than our competition. The differences, however, don’t stop there. After a quick look at our product line, you will find that our rate and fee structure differs from other banks, too.
